Seven young people, aged 19 to 23, were detained at the beach of the Zaslavl Reservoir. According to the police, they were in possession of white-red-white symbols. The authorities claim that a local resident reported the "violation." All detainees were taken to the police station, where protocols were drawn up, and they were kept behind bars until trial.
The court hearings began on May 12 and continued the following day. One of the detainees only learned about his sentence afterward—his trial was held in secret, and he was sentenced to 15 days in jail.
Two 22-year-old women received 10-day sentences, despite one of them stating that she had not seen any symbols and only learned about them at the police station. Another detainee received 15 days, as did a 21-year-old participant who also denied any wrongdoing. One detainee was sentenced to 5 days, while another received 15 days in jail.
In total, the court handed down 85 days of detention among all the defendants.
